Physical activity reduces risk of chronic disease and mortality
|Research shows that physical activity reduces the risk of many adverse health conditions, including major noncommunicable diseases such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancer, and increases life expectancy.
Globally, physical inactivity is responsible for 6% of the disease burden associated with coronary heart disease, 7% for type 2 diabetes, 10% for breast cancer, and 10% for colon cancer.
